Stuart, that's me, and Verity my wife took over The Devonshire Hotel in August 2005, we have both been working in the hotel business for 15 years.

Until recently, we both worked for Honeycombe Leisure, the company which owned the Devonshire Hotel. When Honeycombe Leisure went into administration, we took ownership of the Hotel to make it our own. We were lucky to be in the right place at the right time. 

We love what we do and we love working together, and we pride ourselves on the good service we give to our customers. We started off with Verity at the front of house, and I was in the kitchen. Whenever possible, we love using local produce and local suppliers, because we know that you are getting the freshest ingredients.

Since taking over the hotel, we have had all the bedrooms decorated and put in new beds. We have decorated the dinning room and the bar area, and put in new chairs.

We have two young children so running the hotel and a young family can be hard work. Grassington is the most wonderful place and we are very lucky to live here.
