Kilnsey Park a unique Yorkhire Dales experience. Only 4 miles away, this is easy to walk to.
Stump Cross Caverns extensive natural limestone caverns, accessible to the public along walkways and steps. These caves are spectacular, well worth a visit. Please check their website for opening times and dates, restrictions apply during the winter period. 10 minutes on the B6265.
Hesketh Farm Park at Bolton Abbey. Ideal for children, plenty to do. 20 minutes drive via the B6160.
Skipton Castle is one of the best preserved and most complete medieval castles in England. 20 minutes drive on the B6265.
Embsay Steam Railway runs 4 miles from Embsay to Bolton Abbey. Make sure you check the website for the timetable before you go. 20 minutes drive.
Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal is situated near Ripon. Spectactular ruined Abbey with plenty to see and do. 35 minutes drive via Pateley Bridge.
RHS Garden Harlow Carr is the Royal Horticultural Society Garden Harlow Carr, a beautiful informal garden to inspire the whole family. 40 minutes drive.
Ripley Castle and Gardens in Harrogate has a 700 year history. Guided tours, gardens, enthralling for all ages. 40 minutes drive via Pateley Bridge.
Bolton Castle, near Leyburn in the heart of Wenslydale. 45 minutes drive.
Ingelton Waterfalls is a spectacular waterfall near Ingelton. It’s a 4.5 mils circular walk to get to the falls, but well worth the effort. Via Gargrave, Long Preston and Settle this is 50 minutes drive.
Aerial Extreme at Bedale is an adventure ropes course. please check their website, opening times are restricted in cooler months. 1 hour 10 minutes drive.
